Day 221 – Day off

Yesterday was my sister Eva’s wedding. It had to be delayed from May because of Covid-19, but I’m delighted to say that we enjoyed seeing her get married to Campbell with a small group of people.

Weddings can sometimes be crazy big events with so many things to distract you and stress you out. Yesterday – because we could only have around 20 people – was happily not, and that meant we could focus even more on the special words that Eva and her new husband said to each other.

A wedding shows us a glimpse of the love that Christ has for His church. A ring indicates a never-ending bond that should never be broken, just like the covenant promise that God makes with us. I hope this year’s reading plan has allowed you time to marvel at that wonderful news more than ever before.
