Day 33 – Day Off

Happy Sunday everyone.
I bet this week you’ve found that a few of the things that we’ve studied has been new to you, even amongst more familiar stories such as Abraham’s obedience to God by taking his son Isaac to be sacrificed (or not, as the case was!). You probably learned new things about Isaac’s sons too. How will you remember the new things we’ve learned?
This coming week we’ll be spending three more days looking at Jacob, and then three looking at his most famous son, Joseph.
How have your notes looked this last week? Are they still detailed, and readable, and helpful? Are you proud of them? I hope so! If not, strive to spend that extra 5 minutes each day this week to keep making your time with the bible, and your notes, special.
We’ve done a couple of meet-ups in January (me, Harry and Jonah, and Anabel with Mel), and I really hope that those times have been enjoyable and helpful to you. They are times that are just for you – to ask questions, or to explore passages or ideas. If you want to come with stuff you want to focus on, do so! It’s a real pleasure for us as leaders to do this with you, as it’s always a pleasure to see young people grappling with the gospel, learning more, and wanting to understand more about their faith. It’s why I do youth work!
I’ve attached a quiz below for you to have a go at. Whoever put it together didn’t put much effort into checking their spelling, but let me know what score you got on the WhatsApp chat. The best score (no cheating!) gets a prize.
