Day 40 – Day off

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone. It’s another day when you get to enjoy air in your lungs, good food on the table, special time with friends and family, and fun activities.

So… same as every Sunday, huh? (Well, for most of you! I’m doing the same thing in a pretty Czech Republic village at the moment!)

Yeah, indeed, same as many Sundays. And for that, we have so much to be thankful for, don’t we? We’ll have struggles and challenges today too, I’m sure. But if we stop and pause, we know that God richly blesses us day after day after day, and so often we think nothing of it.

Even if you’re catching up on a few days’ reading today and you’re slogging it out, think how much you have to thank God for as you look around your room at the moment. Jonah, Anabel and Harry – why not take a minute now to pray and thank God for all the good things you have enjoyed this week. And maybe even for the fact that I’ve learned how to spell your name, Anabel 😉

I’ve really enjoyed getting stuck into story of Joseph. We’re just getting started at the moment – we’ll be reading about how God uses him all the way until Saturday, at which point we’ll have finished the book of Genesis and we’ll move into the fascinating book of Exodus.
